Interview With Rebecca Johnson : https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/honeytrap-a-feature-film-set-in-teenage-brixton--2
Honeytrap is about a 15 year old girl called Layla who tells her story about her tragic romance which ends in the murder of the boy that loved her. The film is set in Brixton and inspired by true events.  Layla feels the need to fit in with the crowd and is desperate for it to become a reality. Sadly she gets mixed up with the wrong person as she is first rejected by girls and Troy is the only one that is there to comfort her...but is he really?

This is an independent film and is therefore is on a low budget, I have found that it has only been shown on the screen in cinemas. I cannot find any information indicating  whether the film will be released on to DVD, however is being shown in the British Film Festival. All that I do know, is that it seems to be a brilliant film and I personally would love to go and see the film.

As the film is an independent film, as I have already mentioned, meaning it was on a very low budget when making, and therefore couldn't  publicize the film as successfully compared to a high budget Hollywood film.  So I assume they advertised it in the media using social networking sites, for example twitter to get the word around. Seeing as Honeytrap was being screened in the British Film Festival, I'm sure they would have been advertising the film and screening of it on their websites and perhaps even had posters to advertise.

Who Is The Target Audience?

  • I believe the target audience for this film would be people that are a fan of the marvels, the comic book and people around the age of 12 years and above as it is rated a 12A.

  • 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' is now available on Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD and 3D DVD.

Technological uses:

There was a great amount of detail and the technological use in the making of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and also to help create the characters of Groot, Rocket and more. The technological effects house of Territory Studios were responsible for this. They modeled everything out from the iconic prison scene to the 3D panels and UI stuff in Quill's ship.

Production Honey Trap

PRODUCTION

They found the actors through local agneies, schools, , centres and street casting. this is where they go to a specific placer and look on the street for a person that suits their needs of the character.
The cast was:
Jessica Sula - Also in Skins
Lucien Laviscant
Naomi Ryan
Danielle Vitallis
Lauren Johns
Tosin Cole
This is just the majority of the cast i Selected out the main ones

The movie was filmed in Brixton thisnis where the real incident happened. She has been working with people in the Brixton community for about 10 years so this is already some experiance. This also shows how Brixton is an important area to her.
Their budget was very low so i doubt they would be able to buy a high cinema quality camera to film

DISTRIBUTION

Anchor bay distributed her movie for her. This is good and anchor bay also distributed other movies which is experiance. They have distributed films like sin city, a bell for Christmas and giver. This film was released locally to different cinemas i dont think it was good that that distributed it locally as they may not get views worldwide. This could have improved the amount of views by a lot

MARKETING

They marketed this movie particularly to young urban youths i think this is a good audience as they are normally intersted in these type of movies as it has a sly link to them. They marketized they're movie on applications aswell i think this is good as plenty of people use applications in our generation. They used applications like whatsapp and bbm. They also used social media sites like Facebook twitter and tumble this is good as it helps their movie get about.

EXHIBITION

They are going to release this movie fully in February 2015 in west end cinema this is good as there are plenty of tourists there which may also watch the movie giving the movie honey trap a wider fan base. However now they have a restricted release and they are only releasing it on 2 screens uve cinema and a cinema at west end. I think this is also good as it is making people who haven't watched the movie wanting to see it more in feburary

    HONEY TRAP

This film is about Layla she is 15 and has been living in Trinidad. Returned to her estranged mother in London, she is faced with settling into a new home and a new city with a fresh set of rules and codes. Unsupported by her mother and spitefully rejected by her female peers, she is drawn to the brooding Troy, who marks her as his "Trini princess." When that fails, she takes solace in the friendship of Shaun, another admirer, but her desperate need for acceptance leads to a tragic betrayal of his kindness.

The Film 'HONEY TRAP' was written and directed by Rebecca Johnson and edited by John Dwelly.

The first piece of finance for Honeytrap came from a grant for the training and mentoring scheme that was run alongside production from a longstanding local funder, the Walcot Foundation.

This film was made quiet a while ago foreshadowing another movie named My Murder. These were both of the same incident just a different director nd editor

The film have many social networks where they promote their latest updates. For example they have a Facebook page which is called hioney trap and a twitter which is called @honeytrapfilm i think this is good that try have these as they can promote their film in many places and get plenty of viewers

It was released on the 17th of October 2014
